Cobalt Moon

In a world where humans never evolved, and in their steed every other species of mammal evolved down a similar path, carnivores still struggle with their instincts to hunt and eat others. However in the multicultural hotspot of "the city of stars" an organization called the league of the Cobalt Moon works to investigate these "predations" and provide support to the community to help prevent more from happening in the future. With four Mafia organizations in the city, there is constant tension in the air, especially as the Violet pride, an organization of big cat Yakuza, finds themselves growing in power beyond what they have ever had before.

Trill the Virginia opossum has just moved out of her toxic childhood home in the underground temperate district of the city of stars and is excited for her adult life to really begin! However within her second day in the forest district she finds herself attacked by a carnivore and saved by a sleek black cat named Ash. Inspired by her savior (and eventual partner) to join the League of the Cobalt Moon, Trill and Ash uncover dark secrets and plots of the criminal underworld of the city of stars, and perhaps encounter strange happenings unknown to mammal kind.

Description: the protagonist of our story, Trill! grew up socially awkward but very eager to learn. Easily identifiable by her purple glasses and chipper attitude she has always felt a desire to help people, but prior to her fateful encounter with a certain black cat and a aggressive carnivore, most of the time the most help she is able to provide to the community is explaining gift card scams to elderly customers at the convenience store she works at. Now with a newfound purpose, her and her new allies at the League of the Cobalt Moon hope to do all they can to prevent future predations, although understanding that it will never go away entirely, at least not until mammals are able to evolve past their deep-seated instincts.

Ash Santerre

Due to him and his mother being abandoned by his father due to the tom mistaking the skull-shaped marking on his son's neck for an omen of death, ash was raised with the ambition to make the world better than how he left it. Always a social butterfly, the Tom makes friends wherever he goes. his skills with a sword have made him a valuable asset to the Cobalt Moon when apprehending violent carnivores despite his small size. With a good head on his shoulders and even better ears, he makes an effort to be there for those he cares about, including his lifelong best friend, a traumatized snow leopard named Echo.

Echo Wildheart

Born to a wealthy couple who never really understood how to love a child, Echo was always a loner, especially after losing her leg to a predation attempt when she was 9. Luckily soon after she healed she met Ash, and the two of them have been best friends ever since. As a teenager she had a lot of pent up rage and anger at the world, and started her short career as a fighter in an underground fighting ring. This would come to an end though as she found herself lost in her instincts while walking home one night and tried to attack a caribou in a parking garage, although luckily she snapped out of it before she left more than a scratch. Now working as a sportswear designer, Echo has long left that life behind. However a certain Cobalt Moon investigation may just need her skills and knowledge.

Description: current boss of the Violet pride, Lavinia was raised in an unstable home to a mother who was a former member of the Violet pride, having had her tail docked when she was banished from The pride. As a teenager she met rain, an African Forest elephant, and after the two of them got involved in a gang swore a life debt to each other after killing their shared abuser. During this she picked up a catnip "habit" which has slowly gotten worse over time. Shortly after she was scouted by Nakinya, the now previous leader of the pride, who saw great potential in her and begun to train her to become the next boss of The pride.

Rain Igarashi

Description: right hand woman of Lavinia and one of the two current executives of the pride. Having recently having sworn a mutual life debt to Lavinia, teenage rain was allowed to become a full member of The pride despite her status as a prey animal due to the sheer potential that Nakinya had scene in Lavinia. As the two of them, (soon accompanied by Chaos the leopard) moved through the ranks of the pride, rain earned fear and respect from her carnivore peers due to her ruthless efficiency and viewing the killing of prey animals as just the circle of life, except for herself of course. Now living in a former plantation home with her partners Lavinia and Chaos, she is perhaps the most feared prey animal in the entirety of the city of stars.

Chaos Akamatsu

Description: born into a drug and desperation filled household, Chaos has spent her life always looking for the next Buzz, whether that be through party drugs, sex, or violence. Having met Lavinia and Rain soon after they joined the violet pride and when she was only freshly initiated herself, the three of them quickly formed a lifelong Bond and are rarely seen without each other. Chaos had been scouted into the Violet pride after killing a young rat during a bad trip as a 16 year old and unknowingly discovering a grow operation guarded by The Violet pride while trying to dispose of the body. She found herself in front of a Violet pride coalition leader, an Indian lion just old enough to be her father, who was genuinely concerned about a scrawny blood covered teenager stumbling across what was supposed to be a heavily guarded operation. Chaos was still pretty high during the conversation so she can't remember all of the details, but came out of it a member of the Violet pride, the first place where she ever felt truly loved and accepted. Now among one of the most feared mammals in the criminal underworld she lives a comfortable life cleaning up the messes and mistakes of her underlings.
